A creation inspired by the paintings and ceramic sculptures of Denver artist, Abby Gregg. This work encourages dynamic interaction and playful connection between people and the space that surrounds it.
Pulling inspiration from living architecture like coral reefs, Hydra beckons viewers to lean-n, listen, and explore.
Hydra can be exhibited with the embedded sound piece Creature Chorus by Steph Kudisch and Abby Gregg. If shown without the the speaker caps, the work can be shown without the speaker caps , and the bottom cavities would match the rest. The Bluetooth sound equipment can be hidden within the speaker cavities for emanating, organic, ambient sound.
